Summit Residence might be situated in the heart of one of the world’s safest cities, but the compound’s management team hasn’t let this soften their approach to safety and security. The security team is strict and vigilant, far more so than at some of their competitors. Security is a priority since, at Summit Residence, family is a priority.

The goal is to allow parents to feel comfortable and at ease letting their older children independently and freely explore the compound’s park area, as they themselves might have done as children in their local neighborhood. Other small touches highlight their dedication to family; the waterside picnic tables are great for a day with the family, and the onsite education center does everything from hosting birthday parties to running ‘Mommy & Me’ classes.

Their design aesthetic is equally as refreshing. Bypassing the oft-seen “natural” style, the Summit Residence’s centerpiece, a decorative pool, instead features clear water that reflects the brilliant, gorgeous hues of blue tiling. This is the view that gym goers have as they look out from the fitness center’s glass walls. And it’s the same view that can be seen from any one of a number of Zen-like covered seating areas.

Popular with locals and foreigners alike, Summit Residence features a number of 18 to 40-storey buildings that go around the compound in a ring shape. Members have access to a full range of facilities, including a swimming pool and tennis court.

Neighborhood
It’s not just the compound’s own features that attract tenants, but also its envious location. Lujiazui, a dining and shopping paradise, is a mere 20 minutes’ walk away. Once a rice paddy, the area’s transformation over the last 30 years has turned it into the iconic skyline of Shanghai that is well known today. Home to a number of skyscrapers, the newly-complete Shanghai Tower is the second tallest in the world. The area isn’t just for adults either, considering its concentrated collection of museums, galleries, children’s activity centers, and more.

The Line 2 Dongchang Road metro station is just a 15 minutes’ walk from the compound, connecting residents with other essential sites, including: Hongqiao Railway Station, Hongqiao Airport, Jing’an Temple, People’s Square, East Nanjing Road, and Pudong Airport. The Line 9 Shangcheng Road metro station is even closer at just 10 minutes. At the same time, drivers will find that the area gives them easy access to several of the city’s key expressways, bridges, and tunnels.
